Stations and Apparatus:
The St. Lego Fire Department covers an area of 62.6 Sq Miles
and approximately 312,000 citizens.
The Department staffs 30 Engine Companies, 2
0 Ladder Companies,
3 Rescue Companies, 3 Division Chiefs and 6 District Chiefs.
There are also many specialty units that are cross staffed as needed.
The Department is divided into 3 Divisions, each commanded by a
Division Chief. Each Division has 2 Districts, each commanded by a
District Chief. Each Company is under the overall command of a Captain.
When the Captain is not on duty, a Lieutenant is in command.
Minimum staffing is 3 firefighters and 1 officer per engine, 4 firefighters and 1 officer
per ladder, 5 firefighters and 1 officer per rescue, and each command car has an
officer and an aide.
Minimum staffing is 251 officers and firefighters per shift.

Division One
Division One has slightly more area than the other Divisions, with a mixture of old
wood frame housing, busy downtown area, and large rural areas.
Division One is also the home to The Gately Municipal Airport

Division Two
Division Two is the Middle Division of the city. Though slightly smaller in size, it does
have a more densely packed population than the other Divisions.
Division Two includes Districts Two, and District Five.
Division Three
Division Three is the most Eastern Division.
Division Three is home to The Triple Lakes State Park, and is the most
Rural of the Divisions. Districts Three, and Six make up Division Three.
